Trees. Vegetables. Hockey Players. These are just three of the many things that grow in Ontario’s Greenbelt.

On Friday October 12th, the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation is hosting Greenbelt Day at the GM Centre as hometown favourites, the Oshawa Generals take on the Barrie Colts.

Come and join us to learn more about how the Greenbelt provides fresh air, clean water, and healthy local food for everyone to enjoy.  Visit us in the concourse for some delicious and fresh apple cider from local Durham farmers, Geissberger Farmhouse Cider, and watch during intermission for some eco-friendly Greenbelt giveaways!

For more information about the game, or to purchase tickets, go to: oshawagenerals.com

At more than 1.8 million acres, the Greenbelt is the world’s largest protected green space preserving prime farmland, wetlands, forests, and even places to play hockey! Come join us on October 12th. Possibility does indeed grow here.
