Celebrate Bike Month 2018 by Cycling the Greenbelt Route

From May 28 – June 30th there will be hundreds of bike related events taking place in and around the Greenbelt, including guided bike tours, festivals, art shows, film screenings and more. We encourage everyone to get out on their bike during this month, whether a seasoned rider or first timer. Aside from the clear health benefits, it’s a great way to get to know your community and discover the stunning landscape of the Greenbelt.

Looking for somewhere to ride?

In the summer of 2015, we launched the 475km Greenbelt Route in partnership with the Waterfront Regeneration trust and 27 municipalities across the Greenbelt. The Route is the latest addition to an impressive and growing provincial bike route network across Ontario.

Discover the Greenbelt…

Whether you decide to challenge yourself and take on the entire 475km bike route (yes, it has been done!) or opt for one of the twelve curated loops featuring the best of different regions across the Greenbelt that bring you back to where you started, you’ll be sure to enjoy the ride through lush forests, winding rivers, welcoming communities and family farms. There’s plenty of stops along the way as well, from cideries to pick-your-own farms, for a well-deserved break on your biking adventure.

“Ride as much or as little, as long or as short as you feel. But ride.” – Eddy Mercx
