Canada Day Weekend is upon us! With the summer in full swing it's time to take advantage of all the Greenbelt has to offer, from cycling the Greenbelt Route to barbecuing Greenbelt-grown food on the grill. To help you get started we've put together we've put together this handy guide:

1) CYCLE THE GREENBELT!

Explore the Greenbelt by bike, with stops at farmers' markets, conservation areas, Feast On restaurants, and more. The Greenbelt Route stretches 475km across the Greenbelt, connecting with a dozen local loops for shorter trips.

2) VISIT A BREWERY DISCOVERY ROUTE!

For beer and cider lovers, explore the booming craft brewery scene in southern Ontario on a carefully curated, self-guided Brewery Discovery Route. Three of these routes can be found in the Greenbelt, showcasing the best of culinary and beverage offerings in and around the Greenbelt.

3) TAKE A HIKE!

Enjoy a pleasant stroll or longer hike on a Greenbelt Walk. With options for every age and ability, Greenbelt Walks are the perfect activity for a summer afternoon. Pack a picnic with locally-grown food and make a day of it!

4) EAT LOCAL!

Find out what's in season and check out great recipes on Greenbeltfresh.ca, where you can find local farmers markets and pick-your-own farms.

5) HIT THE BEACH!

Summer has officially begun! That means the beaches of the Greenbelt are open and ready for your visit. Check out our Greenbelt Explore page and discover a beach near you this summer.
