The Cuvée Gala is a red carpet celebration of the outstanding Ontario wine and food in the heart of Niagara wine country. The coveted Cuvée Awards are announced at this black-tie event where the winemakers select the winners and guests mingle with the stars of the Ontario wine and culinary scene.

This year, 45 winemakers tasted over 200 wines from 56 wineries to determine the winners.

Proceeds from Cuvée Weekend go to the Niagara Community Foundation and are used in its work with community groups across the region.

A number of Greenbelt wines were awarded best in class at the competition, including: Flat Rock Cellars Reserve Chardonnay 2007, Konzelmann Estate Winery’s 2007 Vidal Icewine, and Tawse Winery’s 17th St Pinot Noir 2007.

Hats off to all the winners, and a particular thank you to the wineries of the Greenbelt for helping make it the success it is today.
