Greenbelt's Winter Wonderland - Metroland Article The Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation wants to hear your favourite Greenbelt Winter Memory. From making snowmen to sipping hot cocoa after skiing, tell us your story in 250 words or less. The winning entry will receive a prize sponsored by Theatre Orangeville and Albion Hills Conservation Area. Special thanks to the Hills of Headwaters Tourism Association. Contest is now closed.  1. You must be a legal resident of Ontario and 19 years of age or older to enter. If an entrant is under 13 years of age, we require the user indicates parental consent prior to the submission of personal information. 2. No purchase is necessary to enter. 3. Employees (or immediate family members of employees) of the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation are not eligible to win any prize. 4. The Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation and other Contest Sponsors are not responsible or liable for entries that are lost, misdirected, delayed, destroyed or lost in delivery. There is also no responsibility or liability for any potential entrant's inability to access www.OurGreenbelt.ca for contest entry. 5. Entries that are late, incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified. 6. The Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation reserves the right to amend these rules as and when they deem necessary. Rules may change from time to time in any given contest. The Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation and contest sponsors are not responsible for any typographical, production or distribution errors that may occur during the contest or in any contest material. 7. Decisions of the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation and contest sponsors are final in all cases. 8. Winners agree to allow their names to be used for promotional purposes without compensation. 9. Contest begins January 16, 2008 and ends February 8, 2008 (“Contest Period”). All entries must be post marked and received by February 8, 2008. 10. By entering the Contest consent will be given to the Sponsors for the collection, use and distribution of all personal information contained on the entry form by the Contest Sponsors for the purposes of running the Contest. Personal information is defined as anything that identifies an entrant as an individual, such as home telephone number, age, home address, email address, gender. Contest Sponsors will not sell or transmit this information to third parties except for the purposes of administering the Contest. 11. How to Enter: Submit your winter story, no longer than 250 words to 68 Scollard Street, Suite 201, Toronto, Ontario M5R 1G2 by February 8, 2008 -at 10 p.m. EST, 2008. Alternatively, submit the story online at info@ourgreenbelt.ca by February 8, 2008 at 10 p.m. EST. All entries must include: first and last name, street city province and postal code, daytime telephone number and evening telephone number. Each entry must be an original. Only one (1) entry per person. All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsors. The Contest Sponsors are not responsible for late, lost, delayed, destroyed, or misdirected entries and no entries will be permitted after the deadline. There will be one (1) prize to be won from all eligible entries received before the Contest deadline. The odds of being selected as a potential winner depend on the total number of eligible entries received. In order to win, the potential winner must also correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question. Certain restrictions apply. Void where prohibited. Proof of identification must be provided upon request. Stories will be judged by the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation and a winner will be chosen based on creativity, relevance and entertainment value. The Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation will contact the potential winner after the decision has been made, by telephone at the daytime number recorded on their entry, during regular business hours (EST). The potential winner will have 48 hours to respond to this telephone call. In the event that the potential winner is disqualified from eligibility, does not correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question, or cannot be contacted within the 48-hour period, the Foundation shall have the right to choose another potential winner, and the Contest Sponsors shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. Contest Sponsors may continue to choose a winner until such time as a potential winner satisfies the terms of this section. 12. Prize: One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded as follows: - A pair of tickets to a live professional performance at Theatre Orangeville and two passes for cross-country skiing at Albion Hills Conservation Area (including equipment rentals). The restrictions for the theatre tickets are as follows: A pair of complementary vouchers can only be used for any Wednesday or Thursday evening production of either Rope’s End or MESA – 8:00 p.m. performance. If the winner is unable or unwilling to claim their Prize within 14 days, for any reason, the next eligible entry selected by random draw will be contacted and the first entrant will have no further claim to the prize. The Contest Sponsors may, but are not obligated to mail or courier prizes, and are not responsible for unclaimed prizes. All Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable. No substitutions or cash in lieu of a prize will be awarded. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right to substitute the Prizes in whole or in part in the event that any component of the Prizes are unavailable. 13. The sponsors may, in their sole discretion, prohibit any person from entering any contest whom they believe to be abusing the Contest Rules. Such abuse includes entering false information and entering more than once per person. 14. Contest Sponsors are not responsible for any technical failures of any kind including, but not limited to, malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, human error, or property damage which may limit an entrant's ability to participate in the Contest. The Contest Sponsors are not responsible for any on-line or other charges that may be incurred in connection with participating in the Contest. The Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation makes no representations or warranties and there are no conditions of any kind, express or implied, statutory or otherwise, with respect to the Website, including without limitation, that the Website will meet entrant's requirements, always be available, accessible, accurate or secure. The Contest Sponsors will not be liable for any damages of any kind including without limitation direct, indirect, incidental, punitive and consequential damages arising out of or in connection with participation in the Contest, the use of the Website, or downloading any materials in this Contest. Use of any method, mechanism, device, or software affecting the proper functioning of the Contest or the Website is strictly prohibited. The Contest Sponsors may, in their sole discretion and without notice, terminate the right of any entrant in the Contest or user of the Website to participate in the Contest or use the Website. Caution: Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or other components or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages from any such entrant to the fullest extent permitted by law. 15. This Contest is governed by and subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. This Contest is governed by the laws of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein. By participating in this Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules and the decisions of the Judges in awarding the prizes, which decisions shall be final and binding upon all entrants. Failure to comply with these Contest Rules may void the entrant's rights to any Prize. Interpretation of these Contest Rules by the Contest Sponsors shall be final and binding. By entering this contest, you acknowledge that you accept and will abide by these rules and regulations.
