The twenty winning photographs from the Greenbelt's 10th Anniversary Photo Contest are on display at the Ball’s Falls Centre for Conservation until August 31.
The winning photos, selected by a jury of professional photographers and creative employees from the three participating organizations, were featured in an exhibition at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinberg and were recently showcased at the Malton Gallery at Toronto Pearson Airport.
The photos capture stunning landscapes, agricultural, wildlife, and human subjects, and are touring the Greenbelt. Part of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority, Ball’s Falls Centre for Conservation is in the heart of the Niagara Escarpment on the Bruce Trail. The exhibit highlights the natural and agricultural heritage Ontario offers residents and visitors alike.
Event Description from www.feastofstlawrence.com:
"A new food event arrives on the scene in downtown Toronto on August 12, 2016.
The Feast of St. Lawrence premieres in spectacular fashion with an exclusive, al fresco dinner experience. Two hundred guests will be seated at a continuous table on Front Street and served a sumptuous 5-course dinner prepared by chefs from some of the top restaurants in the St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood. Savour beautiful wines from Niagara's Somewhereness vineyards while being serenaded by a 20 piece jazz band, this dinner under the stars surrounded by the lights of Toronto's skyline will be an event like no other.
The event begins with an hors d'oeuvres, wine and beer reception at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 11:00 p.m. Not only is the event celebrating the St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood as a food destination, but it is also benefiting an important charitable cause. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to our charitable partner, FoodShare.
NOTE: This event is for adults 19+. No substitutions will be allowed to the menu being served. Please note that we can not accommodate food allergy concerns (nut, gluten, etc.) or ensure against cross contamination."
