Intro to Food Safety and Certification Workshop

Being proactive and having a food safety plan in place along with proper documentation is recognized as a wise business practice. The Intro Food Safety and Certification Workshop at Country Heritage Park will not only drive opportunities for growers to market their products with greater confidence, but also, help gain entry into wholesale and retail markets.

Upon completion of the workshop farmers will have an understanding of food safety principals, certification programs and an in-depth look at the Canada GAP application process. Farmers will also receive a briefing from the Soil and Crop Association on how to apply for funding to support their work
