Come spend the  day learning about precious pollinators! 

"Did you know that bees pollinate approximately 1/3 of the food we eat? Did you know that Honey Bees make about 1 teaspoon of honey in their life time and are the only insect that makes food for human consumption? Join us at Kortright's Honey Harvest Festival to learn about and celebrate the life of these incredible insects!

Festival Activities include:

  • Tour the Kortright Bee House and see millions of honey bees making honey
  • Meet a beekeeper and learn interesting facts about bees and bee conservation
  • Taste Kortright's Honey
  • See cooking with honey demonstrations
  • Enjoy music and entertainment
  • Get your face painted
  • Buy some local and natural honey
  • Enjoy an outdoor BBQ
  • Play bee games and dance the honey bee dance
  • Create some bee-themed art
  • Dress as a beekeeper and get your photo taken
  • Buy organic produce grown at the Kortright Farm
  • Build bee habitat structures"
