HAMILTON (December 20, 2014): September Seventh Entertainment Limited announced today another exciting addition to the 2015 Greenbelt Harvest Picnic. American song writer, Iron and Wine, joins the list of performers previously announced which includes song writing legend Gordon Lightfoot, Bahamas, Basia Bulat, Gregory Alan Isakov, Kathleen Edwards, Martha Wainwright and Hamilton’s Dinner Belles. The 2015 Greenbelt Harvest Picnic takes place on Saturday August 29th at Christie Lake Conservation Area in Dundas, Ontario. Gates open at 11AM and show starts at 12PM. The event serves to celebrate the importance of the Greenbelt, local farmers, art, the outdoors and the eat-local movement.

Iron and Wine’s recent European tour featured sold-out performances throughout Germany and the U.K. Iron and Wine’s fifth album, Ghost on Ghost (Nonesuch Records), was produced by Beam’s long time associate Brian Deck (Modest Mouse, Califone, Fruit Bats) and features musicians Rob Burger, Steve Bernstein, Brian Blade, Curtis Fowlkes, Tony Garnier, Marika Hughes, Briggan Kraus, Maxim Moston, Tony Scherr, Doug Wieselman, Kenny Wolleson, andAnja Wood. Paste Magazine called it, “The best album in Iron & Wine’s already impressive discography.” Ghost on Ghost followed 2011’s Kiss Each Other Clean, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard chart to critical acclaim. The Guardian recently called Iron and Wine, “One of the great modern American bands.”

Just yesterday, Greenbelt Harvest Picnic Founder and Producer, Jean-Paul Gauthier, announced the addition of Bahamas. Bahamas 2014 release, Bahamas is Afie, debuted at #6 on Billboard’s Folk Albums Chart and #4 in Canada. The album has received praise from American SongwriterPaste, National Post and Exclaim! to name a few. Bahamas enjoyed great success on recent fall tour with sold out performances in across Canada including Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary.Early bird tickets are still available at all ticket outlets offering fans discounted ticket prices while quantities last. Early bird tickets are $79.50 plus fees.

Ontario’s Greenbelt is almost 2.0 million acres of green space, farmland, vibrant communities, forests, wetlands, and watersheds – all permanently protected by world-leading legislation. In return, the Greenbelt gives back much to Ontario, including $9.1 billion in economic benefits and $2.6 billion in ecosystem services annually. As a leader in supporting local food, the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation has provided numerous grants to help farmers in the Greenbelt be more successful; to enhance environmental protection; and to strengthen local economies.

Christie Lake is a natural paradise, boasting 830 acres of hiking trails, picnic areas, fishing ponds and beaches. The Greenbelt Harvest Picnic is designed to raise awareness about the importance of the region’s local conservation lands, the arts, local agriculture and home gardening. Concert goers will also be able to enjoy a local farmers market, horticultural workshops, art vendors, food and beverage areas, fishing, swimming and good old fashioned picnicking.

Children, 10 and under, are admitted free to the Picnic while discounted tickets are available for youth ages 11-15. Tickets can also be purchased at Picks and Sticks, located at 140
