The event serves to celebrate the importance of the Greenbelt, local farmers, art, the outdoors, and the eat-local movement.

As in previous years, the Picnic will feature many Farmers, including Derry Gold Honey, Dutchmans Gold, Glancaster Green Farm, Harmony Organic Dairy, Hearts Content Organic Farm, Honest Field Farms, Jerry's Berries Raspberry Farm, La Primavera Farms, National Farmers Union, Organics Live, Plan B Organic Farm, Shared Harvest Community Farm, Talondale Farm, and Waterhall Farm.

The Greenbelt Harvest Picnic will once again feature an array of visual artists, craft vendors, and community groups. Additional attractions include the Lori Le Mare Studio Aerial  Group. Food vendors for this year’s event span many cultures.

Christie Lake is a natural paradise, boasting 830 acres of hiking trails, picnic areas, fishing ponds, and beaches. The Greenbelt Harvest Picnic is designed to raise awareness about the importance of the region’s local conservation lands, the arts, local agriculture, and home gardening. Concert goers will be able to enjoy a local farmers market, horticultural workshops, art vendors, food and beverage areas, fishing, swimming, and good old fashioned picnicking.
