What was Soup Sundays?
In October 2013, we invited our Friends to make and share soups made from local Greenbelt ingredients each Sunday during the month. Not a new diet and nor a pledge for money, it was simply a fun way to support the Greenbelt by sharing all that it has to offer.
They pledged for a month-long of soup, and showed their community that supporting Ontario's farmers can be as simple as soup!
A healthy and tasty way to add beans, legumes, grains, vegetables, and even meats to your diet, a hot, savory bowl of soup can help take the chill out of the fall season! So reap all of the benefits of protein, vitamins, minerals and fiber in your diet by checking out some of our favourite tried-and-true recipes.
