The Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation champions the protection and enhancement of the Greenbelt’s agricultural, natural and water resource systems and promotes better understanding of the social, economic and environmental benefits that flow to the public.

Through the Greenbelt and the efficient planning of our towns and cities, we also strive to increase resilience and reduce vulnerabilities to climate change in the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Our grant program harnesses the expertise and supports the ideas and efforts of the public, Indigenous communities, farm organizations and a great diversity of stakeholders to realize these goals.
