Greenbelt Night: "Game On" For First Fifth Anniversary Celebration Event

Sunday, January 24 is Game Day in Durham Region!

The Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation has partnered with the Foundation for Building Sustainable Communities to celebrate the Greenbelt’s Fifth Anniversary at an upcoming Oshawa Generals game as they take on the Saginaw Spirit in front of a home crowd of thousands of screaming fans.

T-shirts will be launched into the crowd, videos about the Greenbelt, clean water and local food will be shown on the big screen and Durham’s own Kent Farms will provide fans with a tasting of their warm, Greenbelt-grown apple cider before the game.

Fans attending the game will have the opportunity to give back to the Durham community by donating to Durham’s Child Nutrition Program which provides healthy snacks (like Durham-grown apples) to elementary school kids throughout the Region.

Fans and supporters of both the Oshawa Generals and the Greenbelt can purchase reduced price tickets to the game and save $2 off the regular $16 price of admission by ordering before January 22 through the Oshawa Generals website at
