Care about clean drinking water? Then it’s time to add 1.5 million acres to the Greenbelt according to a new proposal by a coalition of more than 100 environmental and community groups. The proposed "Bluebelt" calls on the provincial government to protect vital water resources from urban devlopment and sprawl.

The wait is almost over! We have all been eagerly awaiting the release of the Crombie Advisory Panel Report which will propose changes or improvements to the Greenbelt as part of the ongoing Coordinated Land-Use Planning Review. We have heard through the grapevine the report can be expected before Christmas, so stay tuned! We'll be sure to send along any big news and next steps as soon as we hear.
