Join TVOKids at Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto, Saturday September 19

Toronto, September 9, 2009 —TVOKids presents a fun outing for the whole family on Saturday September 19. Spend the morning with TVOKids at the Evergreen Brick Works, 550 Bayview Avenue (between the Bloor Viaduct and Pottery Road), in Toronto, Ontario.

Meet your favourite TVOKids hosts Mark and Ryan and their superhero guest Enviro Girl. Join them in entertaining activities, enjoy a live TVOKids stage show performance, and get host autographs. The first 400 kids will receive a free TVOKids Greenbelt Adventure 100% recyclable gift tote-bag, filled with exciting Greenbelt Adventure giveaways. TVOKids will be taping at the farmers’ market all morning, and kids and families may see themselves on TV in TVOKids’ afterschool programming block The Space or online at tvokids.com.

Schedule of TVOKids activities on Saturday September 19
10:00 am: TVOKids Greenbelt craft table and free gift bags for the first 400 kids! 
12:00 pm: TVOKids Greenbelt Adventure Show – TVOKids hosts tell you more about the Ontario Greenbelt, sing the Greenbelt song, “Come on, Let’s Go,” and share the excitement of the day.
12:30 pm: Autographs – TVOKids hosts Mark and Ryan will be signing autographs until 1 pm.

The farmers’ market is open from 8 am to 1 pm.

TVO is participating in the Evergreen Brick Works as part of TVOKids Greenbelt Adventure, a joint project with the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation. The largest in the world, Ontario’s Greenbelt is home to some of the most valuable farmland and protected green space in Canada. The aim of the Greenbelt Adventure Project is to increase children’s and families’ awareness of our Greenbelt, inspire them to explore its treasures and engage in continuous efforts to help protect it.
