Raise a Glass of Green Beer for the Greenbelt This St. Paddy's Day

When we think about local food and the tasty products available to us from the Greenbelt's bounty, the rich bouquet of wines from the Niagara region are often part of the package while "barley sandwiches" draw the short straw and are relegated to bridesmaid status.

On Monday, March 15th, Greenbelt ales will receive their due as four fine breweries are profiled as part of the Drake Hotel's regular Monday night entertainment. On tap for the evening will be guest host Kevin Brauch (aka BBC Canada's The Thirsty Traveler) with some tips for enjoying your St. Patrick's Day to the fullest and a tasting of a selection of beers courtesy of the Ontario Craft Brewers including Great Lakes Brewery, King Brewery (the only OCB-member brewery located right within the Greenbelt), Mill Street Brewery and Nickel Brook Brewery.

The event kicks off at 7pm in the Lounge and there is no cover charge. A local DJ will also spin tunes later in the evening. Come down and join us for a pint and celebrate the Greenbelt's barley bounty!
